Middle Tennessee Fund for Women and Girls
The Fund advances educational, economic, and civic engagement of women and girls, as specified by the purposes of AAUW Murfreesboro.
Overview and Purpose
The Middle Tennessee Fund for Women and Girls is the 501(C)3 charitable arm of the AAUW Murfreesboro branch. Its officers are members of AAUW Murfreesboro and work with other branch members to raise funds for scholarships and other programs that serve the needs of our region's women and girls. Currently the fund supports two scholarships at Middle Tennessee State University: the Ruth Houston Memorial Scholarship for a non-traditional female undergraduate student and the Butler-Fouts Memorial Scholarship for an under-represented female graduate student.
The Fund's purpose is to provide opportunities for philanthropy and programming that support the education and advancement of women and girls in Middle Tennessee, in support of the mission of the AAUW Murfreesboro branch.
